Original study notes for cloud certification exams — Google Cloud first, more clouds in build.

About Cloud Cert Notes

What this site is

Cloud Cert Notes is an independent study-notes library for cloud certification exams, launched in November 2026 with complete coverage of two Google Cloud certifications — Cloud Digital Leader and Associate Cloud Engineer. The site exists because good revision notes are strangely hard to find: official documentation is exhaustive but not organised for exams, course platforms lock their notes behind paywalls, and the free notes sites that do exist are often copied from each other. We write our own.

Our Editorial Team

The notes are written and maintained by the Cloud Cert Notes Editorial Team — working cloud engineers and certification candidates who study for, sit, and hold the exams covered on the site, led by an editor who reviews every page before publication. The team's current study focus is the Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer exam, which is why the Google Cloud section launched first and deepest; the byline on every page names the team because the work is genuinely collaborative — drafting, fact-checking against documentation, and quiz-writing are separate passes by different hands.

Methodology — how a page gets written

Every notes page starts from two named sources: the provider's official product documentation (for Google Cloud, cloud.google.com) and the official exam guide for the certification the page serves. The writer drafts the page in our standard pattern — what it is, key facts, exam expectations, a comparison against the nearest alternative, common traps, and an FAQ — and a second team member then checks each factual claim back against the documentation. Practice questions are written by the team to test documented behaviour; they are not taken from real exams, and we never publish material from exam dumps.

This methodology was last reviewed in November 2026. Facts that providers change often — quotas, default retention periods, service limits — are phrased as defaults rather than eternal truths on our pages, and each page carries a 'last updated' stamp. When a reader reports an error through the contact page, we verify it against the documentation and correct the page, noting the correction in our internal log. If our notes and the official documentation ever disagree, the documentation is right and our page is wrong until fixed — tell us, and we will fix it.

Corrections and currency

Cloud platforms change weekly, so a notes site is never finished. We re-check pages when the underlying exam guide is revised, when a service announces a breaking change, and when readers report problems — corrections from readers are the single most valuable quality signal we receive, and they are handled ahead of new writing. Pages that pass a re-check get a fresh 'last updated' stamp even if only a figure moved, so you can always see how current the page in front of you claims to be.
